This is sad news. Stan Winston, who did make up and f/x for movies like Terminator, Aliens, The Thing, Edward Scissorhands, Predator, and Iron Man, went to the big studio in the sky last night. He was a mastermind of practical special effects.

Cinema has lost one of it's great artists.

It's terrible, one year after another we're losing such important cinema figures. Just a few weeks ago, Olie Johnston, the last of Disney's greatest animators, died, and now Mr. Winston is joining him. What a shame. Any idea what he died from?

I was shocked like heck when I read this on the IMDB.com main page.

This Sucks. First Ledger, now Winston.
I feel like this year aint getting any better. :(

He died of multiple myeloma, a form of Blood cell cancer that can be treatable through bone marrow transplant.
His death really bites my shrively Monster Tail. :(
