Description

Unlike most people I like traditional cars, and I wonder if it would really kill a car company to make a large sedan with a hood ornament, non-half-assed chrome trim, hubcaps that actually cover the wheel in a decorative fashion, and whitewalls.

Seriously, the only car that truly looks good in that way nowadays is the Lincoln Town Car, and they're going to stop making that pretty soon.

I know most good cult shows, movies and cartoons don't get the attention they deserve, but they still get made and can be enjoyed by the people into that sort of thing.
What annoys me about the car industry, is there truly seems to be zero tolerance for anything with cult appeal. Everything has to be trendy and popular with the mainstream, or else its existence is not tolerated by the industry.

And even if one's favorite show gets cancelled, or a one's favorite movie flops at the box office, he can usually get it on dvd, and enjoy it, just like he can enjoy his old Nintendo, but cars aren't like that. You can't just buy an old car without taking a serious hit in functionality. Sure, I can buy an older car that does look good, but then again, but it also has inferior safety technology, emissions, gas mileage and reliability because it's old. So as a result, I'd have to drive a dowdy but inoffensively styled midsize and then listen to car commercials make fun of me for driving a dull car when they won't give me what I want.

I'm sure there are a lot of people like me, even people as young as I am, who feel this way, but the industry refuses to acknowledge it.

I know how you feel...I too love old cars:

Nowadays, the only places you can catch them are local car shows and museums.  You hardly see them on the roads these days, especially in mint condition.
